Paperchase Haul #1

Paperchase is my favourite shop. I could spend hours and the majority of bank balance in that shop. I popped in a couple of days with the intention of just browsing but I couldn't stop myself from picking up a few bits.

First I picked up this A4 spiral bound notebook with a multi-coloured star print. I love stars so I can't resist anything with a star print and I don't have many A4 notebooks, they tend to be A5.

The pages are quite thick so it's great if you use wet ink pens as the ink doesn't bleed through. The lines on the page is a really pretty lilac shade which I think looks quite summery and pretty.

I also picked up three pens. I love the Muji gel pens but they've ran out and I'm not near Muji at the minute to replace them so I thought it would get some Paperchase ones. I use buy these all the time before I near Muji. The pens are great quality, the writing is really smooth and I think they make my write look neater and they dry quickly. I picked up TealGreen and Purple and I think they do a black and red as well.

Finally I bought a postcard. I like to buy postcards because I stick them on my wall with washi tape and I love anything with London on it.

Paper Mate Inkjoy 1.0 Ballpoint Pens | Review

paper mate inkjoy 1.0 ballpoint pen review uk stationery blog

Any true stationery obsessive will have favourite pens but we all like to try new ones. I'm always looking in the stationery aisle of shops or perusing the web for new stationery to order and the other day I found these pens and I couldn't help but pick them up.

Paper Mate isn't a brand I turn to for usually, I prefer Steadtler or the Muji gel pens. These pens a lot cheaper than Steadtler, I think for this pack of twenty-four was around £3. However, the quality is no where near my Steadtler ones. There writing isn't very smooth, only the black pen writes perfectly and some of the darker shades like the purple and dark green and the red. I feel the lighter shades are quite difficult to get the ink flowing smoothly.

Overall, for the price they're good but not comparable to my Steadtler Triplus Rollerball Pens.
